WMIT has established a link between two computer networks over a distance reaching more than 7300 kilometers (approx. 4500 miles) for a resort located at Curaçao (Caribbean).

The Curaçao based resort rents villas owned by different international investors. WMIT developed a management screen for these investors that enables them to monitor rental performance.

The database with reservations and bookings is based at Curaçao. A connection is required with this database in order to provide the villa owners with information. WMIT advised against a direct connection with this database by the villa owners since the internet at Curaçao is not reliable enough.

In an Amsterdam based special data warehouse facility a server is configured to periodically attempt to communicate with Curaçao. New bookings are synchronized allowing villa owners to monitor villa rental performance via Amsterdam.
